December New Zealand Loan Policy and Interest Rate Information Update

1. On December 4th, ANZ adjusted its tenant rental income policy. For loan applications with a LVR greater than 80%, it can now accept one tenant's income, up to a maximum of $200 per week. (The previous policy did not accept tenant income.)

2. On December 6, BNZ raised its Applied Interest Rate (AIR) to 9.00%. This may have a slight impact on loan amounts for the same income, but the impact will be minimal.

3. On December 11, ANZ lowered its Servicing Sensitivity Rate (SSR) from 9.1% to 8.95%. This will result in a slight increase in loan amount if income remains unchanged.

4. On February 28, 2024, the People's Bank of China will announce the latest OCR adjustment, and the possibility of further interest rate hikes cannot be ruled out. Currently, commercial banks' medium- and long-term fixed loan interest rates have already begun to decline. A rate cut is highly likely to occur within 2024.

5. The latest listed interest rates from the four major banks are shown in the image. The actual interest rate you receive will be lower than the listed rate. Please contact me for details.
